Welcome!
Hey, there! I'm glad you're here!
First, allow me to congratulate you on your retirement - current or future! It's been quite a ride, right? You're excited to be turning off your alarm (for maybe the last time) and getting started on your dreams of leisure living: traveling, catching up with friends, reuniting with family, tackling that stack of bestsellers on your nightstand, hitting the links, or crafting to your heart's content among your long-anticipated hobbies! Great!
You are excited to take back those 168 hours each and every week to spend YOUR WAY! And...
Life happens...We have the best of intentions to cross off tasks on our endless to-do lists, exercise and get healthy, lose weight, organize closets and garages, get to medical appointments, pay bills, take care of grandchildren...
Wait a minute! What?
You DESERVE the retirement that you have EARNED! Allow me to assist and support you as you navigate this new territory with wonderful views, breathtaking experiences and unexpected challenges...your budget, health, family obligations, unanticipated twists and turns.
I specialize in helping people re-set, problem-solve, or if you're stuck, re-launch the joy and satisfaction you anticipated when you stepped away from your full-time career. I will partner with you to design a plan of action for optimal life satisfaction while managing those inevitable bumps in the road. I am here for you as long as you need my help!
Are you ready?
Let's get your JOY-FILLED Retirement started!

How did I get here?
Always intrigued by investigating what motivates people and how they learn, I studied psychology (B.A., Salve Regina University, RI) and education/counseling (M.Ed., Shippensburg University, PA and NCC - National Certified Counselor). For over two decades, I counseled students and families as they navigated hallmark social and emotional experiences of teen years and career and college planning. Following my own retirement, I served as an Academic Coach for nearly four years for college students, supporting them as they manage academic and organizational demands while traversing the more independent landscape of campus living. From this experience I discovered that coaching is a perfect niche for me!
As a Pre-Tirement Coach, I serve people (near-peers) who are approaching or in retirement using my skill set: listening, supporting, challenging, while helping to create pathways to a satisfying, thriving, enriching encore act. Along with my practical experience as a counselor, insights gained from my own challenging life lessons paired with my energy and spirit, I trained as a Life Coach, became a Board Certified Coach (BCC, Center for Credentialing and Education) and continued my research and reading, learning and professional development through programs (Peak Careers) and training (Reciprocoach).
My Inspiration
My parents' lives are my inspiration to never look back with regret! I am super fortunate to have witnessed my folks wind their way through an enriching retirement, never wishing for something different. Their desires to explore unspoiled wilderness, embrace simple moments and be awed by exotic destinations and serve their community were closely intertwined as were their personal values of always learning and nurturing their relationship. While not required for a satisfying encore act, flexibility can go a long way when opting for creative adventures and unique activities!
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Kathy Pehoviak. I am a certified life coach (BCC), specializing in Pre-Tirement Coaching. As a curious life-long-learner, I relish investigating what makes people tick, what motivates them and propels them forward. Earning my Life & Career Coaching certificate through Rider University in 2024, I am formally certified as a Board Certified Coach (BCC). I have also earned a certificate in Retirement Coaching through Peak Careers and continuously research and study topics related to this growing field.
From me, you can expect a safe, authentic connection rooted in my deep commitment to helping people. Listening intently and attentively while building a trusting environment, I operate with respect for each client's place on their path to self-discovery or re-discovery if you've been neglecting your needs for a while! Let's talk soon.
